Troubleshooting is arguably one of the most difficult aspects of being a database professional. Hardware and software continually get better, but data size and complexity continue to grow at an exponential rate. As a Microsoft SQL field engineer, I service the largest customers in the world and see, troubleshoot, and fix challenging performance and engine problems. In this 100% demo session, we will look at one or two problem workloads and step through the process of troubleshooting the problem and the steps to take to fix the pain the end users are experiencing.

Tim Chapman

Tim Chapman is a Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) and works as a dedicated field engineer (PFE) at Microsoft specializing in performance tuning and high availability. Tim is from Louisville, KY and has over 12 years of database architecture, programming, and administration experience.
